Wow! So Gatsby is offering to cover for daisy. That shows some love. If I could find a guy that would talke my blame all the time I would be pretty lucky, yet i would have to be rude to get into so  much trouble. Any way. I wonder if Daisy knows about myrtly and if the murder was somewhat intentional. And how can tom be so immoral and unsenseible?!!!

So everyone going together is somewhat odd. THey are all together and you can tell there is going to be a fight. What i totally dont get is how Gatsby and Daisy are in toms car and tom is is gatsbys car. Why dont they jsut drive thier own cars. If this has symbolism someone explain it to me.

This is some what of a climax. Gatsby is throwing off this cover he has been wearing. Done with the parties, and all that used to suround him.  This says one thing to me it spells  T R O U B L E ! The guy wants to get the girl and is now totally changing himself, that might cause second thoughts.

The glamor of Gatsby and his wealth seem to be dissappearing. His party ended up being lame. It is almost as if the characters are realizing that wealth sucks. Maybe they realize it is about love, but with all the affairs going on who knows who is loving who. That is alot of whos. And how many of those loves are fake. Alot. But anyway. Ya.

Man i think it would be very aquward to be in gatsby's situation. The whole dinner party thing seemed rude. when they invited him to go with them it seemed very rude. Why couldent they have just stayed. Tom is being really suspicious. Its not too nice. I wouldnt like being Gatsby.

Turns out that Gatsby had an interesting life. I think it is rather strange that Cody would just pick up Gatsby and take him along. No one would really do that in todays world. it seems too odd. Too different.

Well All the affairs in this book are crazy. Tom is cheating on Myrtle, and Gatsby loves Myrtle, and Jordan is a cheater and tom's lover has a husband. I mean seriously shouldent these people not have gotten married, just married their lovers. It is kinda sickening. Ive always dreamed of the happily ever after, there arent affairs and divorces in those. It only shows us that the world thinks it is ok though. Dont you wish you could just fix the world and make everyone have a fairytale? sometimes i do.

So gatsby is always throwing these big parties. Nick gets invited to one. They dont really see Gatsby at his party but for a little while. The whole big parties every night makes me think that the guy is trying to surround himself with wealth to make himself feel better. He had this mysterious talk with jordan. I am wondering what it is about. Its weird. Any way, the other thing that was odd was that gatsby and nick knew eachother they just didnt know it. it was different, wouldent you think they would recognise eachother?

so NIck and Tom go throught the valley of ashes. It is inbetween these two glamourous cities. that totally has to resemble the underlying filthiness in so many glamourous things. For example think of when every one wa migrating to the US before WWI Everyone thought the streets were paved with gold. When they got here they found the streets were not. Just shows you have to know what you are getting in to right?

so I forgot to do something about the Author of The Grest Gatsby. His name is F. Scott Fitzgerald. He idolized the rich. It said he Idolized them like Gatsby in his book. It makes me wonder if he is a crazy guy like Gatsby who stands on the dock with his arms outstreached?... Sadly his wife Zelda married him because he finaly became rich and well known. So His life was kinda a mess, and it says it was alot like his book, so im am pretty excited to read it.
