The Catcher in the Rye 8-3
Holden thinks about how Stradlater is such a good guy and you didn't have to spell anything out to him, he just understood things, unlike Ackley who was into everyones business and had to know every detail.
Stradlater gets ready to leave and everything. Holden asks where they are going to go. Stradlater responds kinda rudely they don't have time to go to far and that she only signed out for nine-thirty at night and he wanted all the time he wanted.
Holden doesn't really like the way that he says this so he tries to explain Jane alittle more to him, telling him she only did it because she didn't know what a stud he was, other wise she would be out till nine-thirty in the morning with him.
This book keeps getting lamer and lamer. The more you get into it, the less there really is a story.

Stradlater ends his little grooming routine and leaves the bathroom heading back to the room. Holden stays there thinking somemore about Jane.
He leaves the bathroom and enters into his room along with Stradlater. He asks somemore questions about Jane. Stradlater is really annoyed with Holden .
Holden asks him to send his regards to her and to tell her that they should go out sometime. He also asks that Stradlater doesn't tell her that he got kicked out of school. He kinda feels bad about it now.

Holden and Stradlater are still in the bathroom. Stradlater is preparing for his date and taking all the time in the world while Holden just watches. Holden hits a momment where he just wants to horse around. He Climbs atop a sink and jumps on Stradlater and puts him in a head lock, while he's shaving his face. Both are lucky they didn't get cut to pieces.
Stradlater says how excited he is to go on his date. Holden asks who its with and finds out its a friend from his childhood. He gets really excited about hearing of his old friend and is anxious to go to see her. He doesn't have the guts yet though. Stradlater gets really annoyed with Holden because he keeps talking about her. Her name is Jane Gallagher and now thanks to Holden, I know more about her than I do myself.
I plan to get a new book as soon as possible, its just a manner of having time to do it. I don't want to have to read a junked up book like this all the time.

Holden and Stradlater head down to the "can" so that stradlater can shave his burly chin. While down there, Stradlater was talking to him and then asks him to do this huge favor. Holden asks what it is and Stradlater says" I have about 70 pages I need to read and was wondering if you would do it for me, and write a composition for me to."
Holden doesn't answer thinking that the suspense is good for a guy like Stradlater.He backs away from him a little and begins his own little tap dance just for the heck of it. He doesn't really know how to tap dance and he hates the musicals like poison but he likes to make fun of them.
He says a little chant and then has to stop because he's getting to winded. Stradlater laughs and then asks where he got the hat.

Stradlater bursts into the room and runs to Holden in a hurry. He slaps his hands on Holdens face, something that bothers him alot, then quickly asks if he can borrow a jacket of Holdens.
Holden says that he doesn't want to let him because of his broad shoulders. Although they were about the same size, Stradlater was very broad.
Stradlater runs to the closet and begins looking for the jacket. he says hello to Ackley, he doesn't really have a problem with him, so he's still is nice.
Ackley decides to leave now because of stradlaters company.

Ackley is still in the room with Holden and won't leave him alone.Holden decides to horse around with Ackley because he knew it always annoyed him. Ackley kept telling him that he was stupid and that he needed to grow up. finally, holden stops.
Ackley asks how much he spent on the hat he was playing with and says he got ripped off.Then he says that it is a shooting hat. Holden says its a people shooting hat.(Wierd)Ackley asks about Stradlater and was dissapointed to fing that he was on a date and Holden didn't know who it was with.
Ackley was talking junk about Stradlater and holden stepped up to defend the boy. Ackley was saying he was concieted and junk and Holden was saying he wasn't and that he was a very generous boy.
I really don't like the way that this book is going. It uses so much profanity that isn't needed. I think that the author of the book was crazy to think that people would actually like to read this book. Someday, when I have time to go to the library, I plan to get a completely different book that hopefully I'll enjoy.
